ISCC CORSIA is a certification system for sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) throughout the entire SAF supply and production chain: from raw material origin to the final consumer (airlines are not subject to certification). The ISCC CORSIA system is designed to reduce GHG emissions in aviation and ensure that the entire SAF production process meets sustainability requirements. The ISCC CORSIA certification has been recognized by ICAO as proof of compliance with sustainability criteria, traceability and the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology for SAF certification.
The raw materials for the production of SAF fuels can be waste/residues of biological and non-biological origin, agricultural biomass. The requirements of the 6 Principles of due agricultural economy are applied to agricultural biomass.
