Cultivation, fruit harvesting, pressing, grain crushing, refining, semi-finished product production, transport, finished product production and store shelves. All these stages are elements of the supply chain of RSPO SCCS certified products. Nowadays, shopping is more difficult than it used to be. All this because of the specter of the yoke of responsibility and it is for this reason that it is worth reaching for RSPO certified products. As we mentioned earlier, in order for us to enjoy responsible purchases of many everyday products, the supply chain cannot be interrupted.
The role of auditors of certification bodies is to confirm that producers of raw materials, semi-finished products and finally finished products meet all the requirements of the RSPO SCCS standard. One of such requirements is to obtain the product from a certified producer. The word producer was used here with ecological premeditation, because not all participants in the supply chain must have an RSPO SCCS certificate.

• Trader and Distributors
The distributor becomes the owner of the RSPO SCCS certified goods. They store and sell the products to customers but do not unpack, repack or label the products at any stage. In short, distributors can physically possess (store) RSPO SCCS certified products but cannot modify them in any way.
A trader is a participant in the supply chain of products containing RSPO certified palm oil who becomes the owner of the RSPO SCCS certified commodity. He sells the products to customers but does not store it at any stage, i.e. does not have physical possession of it.
If a trader or distributor wants to have RSPO SCCS certified products in their portfolio, they must: Become RSPO members – Become an RSPO member Register with Palm Trace – Register Apply for a Trader or Distributor license annually via the RSPO IT platform
